Wooly Wanderer Alpaca Glittens — Convertible Flip-Top Sheep Mittens

The same flock as the Wooly Wanderer Beanie, grazing across the back of each hand — cream sheep with black faces and four black legs on heathered grey.

Fold the mitten top back, button it down, and they become fingerless gloves. Gate latch, phone, lead rope, wallet — all without taking them off and losing one in the mud.

The flap carries a cream snowflake band; the cuff runs in stripes of blue, yellow, red, slate and orange, held by a single wooden button. Hand-knit in Bolivia from 100% alpaca, with the sheep worked into the fabric stitch by stitch rather than stitched on afterwards.

Alpaca is warmer than sheep's wool at the same weight, sheds moisture instead of holding it, and carries no lanolin, so it stays soft against skin that finds wool itchy.
