Our Story
Our Story
Enchanted Farms is a family-run alpaca farm in Duvall, Washington. What began as a small family dream has grown into a place where visitors can meet gentle alpacas, visit the donkeys, feed the animals and enjoy the quiet of the countryside.
Our alpacas are the heart of the farm. Every one of them has a name and a personality, and their fiber is where our love of natural materials began. Fleece from our own herd becomes the yarn and fiber and alpaca rugs we sell in the shop.
"Do you make clothing too?"
That's the question visitors asked us almost every day. For years the answer was no. Then we decided to change it.
David grew up visiting his family's town in Peru, in the heart of alpaca fiber country. So when we set out to design our own clothing, we knew exactly who we wanted to work with: artisans there who have been knitting for generations. The result is the Heritage Collection, designed by us and hand-knit in Peru from 100% baby alpaca, starting with the Heritage Baby Alpaca Cardigan.
We work the same way with artisans in Ecuador, who handmake our alpaca throw blankets to our designs. Alongside our own lines, we hand-pick socks, hats, gloves, stuffed animals and felt decorations from makers we trust.
Come meet the herd
The boutique lives right on the farm, and the best way to understand what we do is to visit. Farm tours, alpaca picnics, birthday parties and farm camps are booked at enchantedfarmsduvall.com. Can't make it to Duvall? A farm experience gift certificate lets someone else come instead.
Thank you for supporting a small family farm. We hope what you find here brings you warmth, comfort and a little enchantment.
