Snowflakes and eight-point stars worked in slate blue and red across a cream ground, finished with a full hand-made cream pom. Hand-knit in Bolivia from 100% alpaca — the classic Nordic ski-lodge pattern, knitted stitch by stitch rather than printed on.
Lined throughout with soft black fleece, and the cream turn-up cuff doubles the thickness right where it matters, over the ears. No scratch, no static.
Alpaca is warmer than sheep's wool at the same weight, sheds moisture instead of holding it, and carries no lanolin — so it stays soft against skin that finds wool itchy.
The cream ground makes this one of the dressier hats in the shop. It sits as well with a wool coat as it does with a barn jacket.
